Alumni Achievement Awards 2019
03 Dec 2019Five outstanding UCC alumni were recognised for their achievements at the 2019 Alumni Achievement Awards which took place on Friday, 22 November 2019 in the Aula Maxima, UCC. The awardees were: Marty Morrissey, legendary Irish sports broadcaster, Naomi James, the first woman to sail solo around the world via the treacherous Cape Horn route, Ireland’s renowned Michelin starred chef, Ross Lewis, one of the country’s best-known psychologists, Dr Maureen Gaffney and pioneering surgeon, Professor Calvin Coffey.

Alumni Bridge: Iconic UCC bridge gets a new name
03 Dec 2019UCC has named the historic bridge at its ceremonial gate, the Alumni Bridge. The bridge, which celebrates its 90th birthday this year, is, and has been, a much loved and familiar landmark among generations of UCC’s students.
